About the Role
State Street is seeking a senior executive to lead a critical Transfer Agency function within its Private Markets business. This role focuses on client leadership, operational excellence, risk management, and business growth, delivering high-quality transfer agency services to strategic alternative asset manager clients. The Managing Director will be a visible leader, shaping strategy, strengthening client relationships, leading teams, and driving innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the business strategy for the Transfer Agency function within Private Markets.
- Oversee service delivery for an assigned client portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted partner.
- Coordinate production calendars and cross-functional execution with internal teams.
- Drive operational excellence by strengthening processes, controls, and governance.
- Identify high-risk activities and proactively implement actions to reduce service disruption and operational risk.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Own core people-management responsibilities, including goal setting, performance feedback, and talent development.
- Support enterprise initiatives and communicate priorities clearly across teams.
- Contribute to budget planning, workforce planning, and staffing models.
- Assess the effectiveness of the operating model and champion transformation opportunities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on product development, solutioning, and new business opportunities.
- Represent State Street as a senior leader in client discussions and strategic initiatives.
- Lead or sponsor special projects, committees, and task forces.
