About the Role
Corpay is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A to join the Financial Planning & Analysis division within the Corpay Cross Border line of business in Toronto, ON. This role reports to the Director, FP&A and involves collaboration with internal finance and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the review of monthly consolidated results, ensuring clear understanding and communication of key business drivers, risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
- Own and oversee monthly and quarterly variance analysis packages, ensuring accurate and insightful commentary for senior leadership.
- Manage the preparation of monthly management reports, financial summaries, standard reporting packages, and Executive leadership materials.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to understand business performance, operational trends, strategic priorities, and financial impacts.
- Provide value-added financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions, resource allocation, and performance improvement.
- Develop clear, concise financial narratives connecting results, trends, and business drivers for various stakeholders.
- Lead and support the preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning activities.
- Review budget and forecast submissions, challenge assumptions, and ensure financial outputs are accurate and aligned with business expectations.
- Support month-end close activities by reviewing actual results, accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial trends.
- Identify and lead opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and month-end processes.
- Lead or support key FP&A projects, including reporting automation, process standardization, business case development, financial modeling, and ad hoc strategic analysis.
- Provide direction, coaching, and review to analysts and/or managers for accurate, high-quality outputs.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across Finance, Accounting, Operations, Sales, Product, and other teams.
- Support ad hoc analysis, business reviews, and leadership requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of relevant and progressive finance experience, ideally in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and month-end close processes.
- Experience leading financial analysis, developing insights, and preparing executive-ready reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers and broader business strategy.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and executive-ready presentation materials.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments, including with senior leaders and non-Finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience coaching, reviewing, and developing team members.
