About the Role
Join our Commercial (Tenant) team as an Electrical Designer to support tenant fit-out and renovation projects. You will contribute to electrical designs from concept through construction, preparing drawings, specifications, and documentation in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment.
Responsibilities
- Produce and update drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Participate in coordination meetings.
- Support construction-phase activities.
- Manage assigned tasks to meet timelines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Create concept designs, design specifications, and assess constructability with coaching.
- Develop the complete design package on time and within budgeted hours.
- Assist with different project phases, such as construction and materials.
- Apply tools and methodologies used for product and service delivery (e.g., AutoCAD, HHA Drawing Standards, Plotters).
- Ensure technical accuracy of project deliverables.
- Manage and prioritize own project activities to meet project deadlines.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients.
- Ensure timesheets, logs, and files are accurate and up to date.
- Work independently on assigned projects.
- Solve problems under close supervision.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or related program.
- 3–5 years of experience in an engineering consulting environment, with exposure to building systems design.
- Experience with tenant fit-out projects is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and build client relationships.
- Experience contributing to electrical design packages, including concept design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with design coordination, constructability considerations, and project delivery processes.
- Ability to manage individual tasks and priorities to meet project deadlines and budgeted hours.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organized and reliable.
