About the Role
Project Managers serve as industry experts for restoration or construction projects, acting as local, regional, or national resources for large-scale, complex, and high-risk environments. This role involves participating in Cat teams for disaster recovery and offers opportunities to transition into estimator positions.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of all BELFOR service lines
- Manage project scope, schedule, communication, safety, and quality control
- Develop core project management capabilities including budgeting, site supervision, and documentation
- Advance knowledge of current and past construction practices
- Review daily project requirements and document progress and challenges
- Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs, and sketches for TPA projects
- Perform duties related to fire damage, water damage, and carpentry
- Qualify and guide vendors and subcontractors
- Manage fixed bid, rate, and material projects
- Handle project invoicing and required documentation
- Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Maintain high attention to detail
- Safeguard client property according to company standards
- Apply customer service principles and practices
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Work nights, weekends, and travel as required
- Report time, equipment, and consumables usage accurately
- Attend company-sponsored operations and safety training
Requirements
- Assist other Project Managers and Senior Project Managers
- Volunteer for CAT duty
- Advance knowledge of technical restoration services or building codes and regulations
- Serve as a role model for Superintendents
- Sell and upgrade additional services on assigned projects
- Communicate daily with Estimators regarding project status and timelines
- Improve core project management skills
- Complete projects on time and on budget with documented customer satisfaction
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee employees and subcontractors
- Read and manage blueprints
- Manage projects exceeding $1M
- Understand and adhere to local building codes and regulatory agencies
- Direct small crews of personnel and temporary workers
- Attend approved training courses in areas of lesser experience
- Manage large crews through crew leaders and assistants
- Develop restoration plans in collaboration with Estimators
- Supervise multiple crews simultaneously across multiple projects
