About the Role
Eataly is launching its first-ever Eataly Caffè and seeks a dynamic manager to lead operations. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service, promoting Italian coffee culture, and ensuring operational excellence across both front-of-house and back-of-house environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to meet standards for guest service, employee practices, financial performance, and safety.
- Engage with staff in a hands-on capacity to foster teamwork.
- Motivate and develop the team by setting clear expectations and leading by example.
- Participate in service operations including barista duties, cashiering, and dining area maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, quality standards, and health regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to develop and monitor standard operating procedures.
- Manage labor, costs, inventory, pricing, and merchandising to optimize performance.
- Utilize financial reports and product metrics to drive business decisions.
- Manage team scheduling based on anticipated sales volume.
- Recruit and train team members in collaboration with HR.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Eataly within the community.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience supervising a café or quick service operation.
- Knowledge of coffee and coffee production.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and be mobile for up to 4 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to operate a commercial espresso machine.
- Food Handlers License and Serv-Safe Certification are preferred.
