About the Role
Nexus Family Healing - Austin Campus is seeking a Milieu Supervisor to provide trauma-informed leadership and mentorship within its residential program. This role involves guiding daily operations, ensuring client safety, and supporting staff development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and client safety.
- Plan and schedule daily trauma-informed treatment services, including transportation and client activities.
- Ensure staff perform duties therapeutically and reinforce program decisions.
- Contribute to treatment guidance plans and mentor team members.
- Coordinate and ensure timely completion of client and staff documentation.
- Assist in developing program procedures for efficient and safe service delivery.
- Identify and analyze program problems, generating solutions and evaluating long-term changes.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for client treatment plans.
- Ensure new admissions are welcomed and their milieu needs are met.
- Monitor treatment service delivery and family inclusion.
- Track youth needs (clothing, dietary, meetings, family time) and ensure plans are in place.
- Lead the assignment of Youth Care Professionals as primary staff for youth check-ins and advocacy.
- Assist in reviewing applicants and interviewing/selecting staff.
- Mentor new youth care professionals and complete shadowing responsibilities.
- Provide direct floor coverage during staff absences and emergencies.
- Offer on-the-job coaching, training, and mentoring to staff.
- Ensure staff timecards are accurately maintained and approved.
- Provide direct supervision and ongoing performance management for assigned staff.
- Conduct formal and informal performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors and HR on disciplinary issues.
- Model and support the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities.
- Ensure confidentiality of client and family information.
- Conduct inspections of program areas and resolve health and safety concerns.
- Stay current on company policies, trainings, and certification requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Valid driver's license and meeting driving requirements.
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals and understand their needs.
- Openness to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities.
- Successful completion of Handle with Care training and exam.
- Successful completion of a DHS background check.

- $51,000 - $55,000
