About the Role
As an Intern - Managed Accounts Supervision & Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting our Managed Supervision and Tier 2 Compliance teams in their daily activities, while developing valuable administrative and operational skills. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update client portfolios within the Portfolio System through the accurate creation, modification, and administration of new and existing accounts.
- Review client accounts and portfolios to ensure alignment with Investment Policy Statements and established firm policies, identifying discrepancies and exercising critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address exceptions.
- Monitor a shared team inbox, prioritizing competing requests, coordinating task delegation, and ensuring all inquiries are addressed accurately and within established service levels.
- Proactively monitor and maintain portfolio records by resolving outstanding issues, including orphan accounts, inactive and closed accounts, advisor changes, and advisor code updates, while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with a variety of operational and administrative initiatives, including data compilation, testing and comparison reporting, and maintenance of portfolio manager records.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution or high school.
- Recognized for their attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and a willingness to be coached.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
