About the Role
This role supports buying and allocating promotional programs for multiple categories within the Health & Beauty and Home & Entertainment group. The Sr. Analyst will accurately quantify forecasted demand for all items in the assortment plan and oversee the end-to-end seasonal program, ensuring seamless flow from pre-season buying to end-of-season inventory exit.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sr. Manager to determine accurate seasonal & promotional allocations to achieve divisional seasonal budgetary targets.
- Create a buy plan that accounts for multiple merchandising locations and any incremental quantities required for promotional activities.
- Manage team deliverables, ensuring that milestones are met in accordance to the established go-to-market timelines across all programs.
- Oversee all pre-season buy activities, including Layout Module creation/maintenance, Assortment Data Integrity, and buy upload to JDA DA.
- Participate in Final Buy Review meetings with Senior Leadership.
- Report and communicate in-season performance to Senior Leadership and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate financial risk from delayed inventory, including contingency planning.
- Support Supply Chain in all allocations/replenishment activities.
- Manage the sell-down and exiting of inventory through the Mark Down Optimization process for seasonal programs.
- Provide data driven insights and reporting that support space optimization during the Strategy Review of future programs.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Business or Economics
- Superior analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
- Detail oriented and strong time management skills
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data
- Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal background check.
Skills
- Strong Excel fundamentals is required
- SQL proficiency is highly valued
- Experience with MicroStrategy, Teradata and SAP preferred
- Retail Planning and/or Category Management experience is an asset
