About the Role
The Community Leader is responsible for assuring that residents receive prompt, efficient, courteous, and quality service by supervising the general administration and physical operation of the property. This role provides direction to ensure the rental program is properly executed, systems and buildings are maintained, and excellent resident relations are provided.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to ensure company mission fulfillment in accordance with Home Leasing’s best practices.
- Oversee and lead the maintenance team for all maintenance-related tasks, including inspections, work orders, preventative maintenance, contracts, and vendors.
- Inform Supervisor and on-site personnel of deferred maintenance, property deficiencies, and resident concerns in writing, noting specific locations, conditions, and recommendations.
- Review and approve all invoices and monitor accounts receivable.
- Play an active role in informing and maintaining the approved budget.
- Review and approve all move-in, transfer, and recertification files in accordance with regulatory restrictions.
- Monitor and ensure community compliance with all regulatory, reasonable accommodations, and fair housing issues.
- Maintain knowledge of compliance with specific funding programs at each community.
- Execute all evictions, collections, lease violations, and special arrangements.
- Perform hiring, job assignments, evaluations, explain employee duties and responsibilities, and inform operation staff of policies and procedures as directed by Supervisor.
- Work to minimize vacancies, promote good resident and public relations, encourage resident retention, and assure program compliance with applicants and residents.
- Perform clerical duties needed to fulfill essential duties.
- Perform additional duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Previous property management experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Good communication skills.
