About the Role
This role is dedicated to Federal proposal and capture, responsible for the writing, strategy, and process that win competitive contracts with the U.S. Government. You will own solicitation responses, white papers, solution briefs, and unsolicited proposals end-to-end while shaping the growth of the Federal proposal function.
Responsibilities
- Own the full development and submission of Federal solicitation responses including RFx, white papers, solution briefs, and unsolicited proposals.
- Monitor Federal contracting channels beyond SAM.gov to identify new opportunities.
- Partner with product, engineering, and partnerships to translate technical work into winning narratives.
- Build AI-assisted workflows and templates to improve proposal function efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Federal BD team to sharpen capture strategy and prepare for competitive deals.
- Identify implicit requirements in solicitations to ensure compliant responses.
- Represent the company at virtual industry days and other Federal BD activities.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience writing and winning proposals for Federal government solicitations.
- Experience at a startup or fast-moving tech company.
- Deep fluency in Federal procurement, including working with contracting officers and developing unsolicited proposals.
- Knowledge of procurement channels beyond SAM.gov and understanding of solicitation terminology.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in proposal and capture work.
