About the Role

This role is responsible for managing clients and related credit products, partnering closely with relationship management, sales/trading, treasury management, operations and risk teams to support the client relationship. Key responsibilities include underwriting, monitoring, managing operational needs and/or client requests. Job expectations include credit-focused client management responsibilities, independent thought leadership, strong leadership skills, the ability to provide feedback to less experienced teammates and may also manage a team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Global Banking and Markets product spectrum.
  • Drive speed to market and asset quality.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the portfolio at the client, industry, and macro level in order to assess risk and structure value-added solutions that balance risk and return.
  • Independently assess the creditworthiness, including due diligence of prospective borrowers and/or trading counterparties and establish appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate risk.
  • Provide high quality and efficient credit approval to Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Treasury while observing compliance with established credit policies and guidelines.
  • Structure transactions and negotiate credit documentation including loan credit agreements and amendments, ISDAs, and CSAs.
  • Establish appropriate internal risk ratings for clients and implement accurate adjustments throughout the client's credit lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage internal relationships with business partners including Corporate and Investment Bankers, Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Syndications, and Legal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related.
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related Finance occupation.
  • 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining financial models to analyze trends, including cash flow, leverage buyout, cost of capital analysis, ability-to-pay, value-creation, operating models, and 3-statement models.
  • 5 years of experience in researching and analyzing trends across sectors and capital structures.
  • 5 years of experience in conducting research using Bloomberg, Moody’s, S&P, and other financial databases to analyze market data and competitive dynamics.
  • 5 years of experience supporting origination, structuring, and deal execution and working on a broad scope of committed financing assignments for corporate clients.
  • 5 years of experience participating in the credit committee approval process, including due diligence, credit analysis and communication with the Risk team.
  • 5 years of experience assessing traded product opportunities against risk appetite and monitoring trading product exposure to specific clients as well as across the sector and portfolio.
