About the Role
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is seeking a Commissionaire to join their growing team. This role is crucial for maintaining client and employee loyalty and enhancing the organization's success through a commitment to serving client and employee needs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure access control is followed and client property is secured
- Monitor CCTV equipment
- Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
- Complete reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports as necessary
- Conduct patrols
- Assist the Regional Security Officer and site supervisor
- Conflict resolution
- Knowledge of company policies
- Prepares and conducts training for new hires and current staff including training on workplace searches and related safety and security topics
- Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
- Respond to alarms and utilization of alarm panels
- Stay back over the scheduled hours if court is still running. After completion checking and securing all the doors on the floor assigned.
- Other duties as may be required by the client or Regional Manager
Requirements
- Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
- Must be able to obtain a Level II (Secret) Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
- Must be able to pass the CGL Use of Force certification
- Ability to stand/sit for a longer period of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs items.
- As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- X-Ray and Hand Held Metal Detector knowledge
- Strong understanding of computers
- Strong customer service/administrative skills
