About the Role

Serve as the Data Analyst for research studies examining biological determinants of ocular Ebola sequelae, conducted by investigators from the San Francisco VA Medical Center, NCIRE, and UCSF.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of data management and programming for clinical studies from data collection to publication.
  • Specify data collection tools and technology platforms for the trial/program.
  • Oversee data collection.
  • Create a Data Management Plan.
  • Create a data processing pipeline.
  • Participate in Case Report Form design.
  • Develop/implement edit check specifications.
  • Develop/maintain software for monitoring ongoing studies, reporting, and analysis of clinical studies data.
  • Facilitate integration of disparate data sources into datasets for analysis.
  • Produce data listings, summary tables, and graphics for interim and final analyses, as well as publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Statistics, Epidemiology or a related field and at least 1 year of professional statistical experience, OR a BA or BS in computer science, life sciences, statistics or math.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical programming and machine learning.
  • In-depth understanding of data collection, data flow management, data quality, data technology, dataset delivery, data archiving, and data standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities to achieve desired goals.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must complete SFVA onboarding in addition to NCIRE's onboarding process.
  • Must pass federal background check, occupational health clearance, vaccines and immunizations, and drug testing.
  • Must pass drug testing, which may include screening for marijuana.
  • Must be a qualified US Citizen for access to US Government research under the Veterans Administration.
