About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract role covering maternity leave within Trustpilot's Go To Market Technology department. The role is delivery-led, focusing on managing the Commercial Tech team and owning business-as-usual tasks, with a portion of time dedicated to hands-on Salesforce platform work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day running of the Commercial Tech team, keeping delivery on track and the backlog healthy.
  • Line-manage three Commercial Tech admins and one developer, supporting their development through coaching and regular feedback.
  • Triage incoming Jira tickets, assign bugs and work to the right person, and manage priorities against capacity.
  • Run all sprint ceremonies, including planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Own the release pipeline and ensure change is delivered safely and predictably.
  • Act as the first escalation point for Commercial Tech, resolving issues quickly and escalating to the Head of Commercial and Marketing Technology when needed.
  • Filter ad-hoc inbound requests at the right level to protect team capacity.
  • Configure and maintain the Sales Cloud instance, using declarative tools first and programmatic solutions where they add value.
  • Build and maintain robust Salesforce Flows and automation in line with best practices and platform performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues directly in the platform.
  • Support integrations between Salesforce and other business systems.
  • Deploy change through CI/CD and apply declarative change solutions to delivery work.
  • Collaborate with the organisation-wide Salesforce team, contributing to code reviews and keeping solutions aligned with the broader ecosystem.
  • Keep commercial stakeholders regularly updated on delivery, priorities, and status.
  • Partner with the Head of Commercial and Marketing Technology to ensure day-to-day delivery reflects the wider roadmap and corporate OKRs.
  • Gather requirements from commercial and ops teams, translate them into clear technical work, and set realistic expectations on delivery.
  • Build and maintain meaningful reports and dashboards that are available and easy to understand for the people who need them.
  • Maintain clear technical and process documentation for the team's work.

Requirements

  • Proven background in delivery or project management, specifically in a scrum or agile environment.
  • Confident running sprint ceremonies, managing a backlog, and keeping a team focused and productive.
  • Hands-on with Jira or a similar tool for triage, tracking, and reporting.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with strong Sales Cloud knowledge across configuration, Flows, and automation.
  • Minimum of Advanced Administrator or Platform Developer I certification.
  • Comfortable getting hands-on with declarative build and some programmatic work, such as Apex and Lightning Web Components.
  • Familiar with developer and deployment tooling, including Git for version control, Salesforce CLI, VS Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • A good working understanding of Salesforce APIs and integration patterns.
  • Experience line managing or mentoring admins or developers, with a genuine interest in helping people grow.
  • Able to set direction, unblock the team, and create a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to translate between business needs and technical delivery, and to keep senior stakeholders confident and informed.
  • A proactive and flexible mindset, comfortable picking up an established team and area at pace.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
