About the Role
As a Staff Designer on Link, you will lead the visual design direction for new and ambitious Link products. You will define the look and feel of products, bring visual conviction to early-stage concepts, and shape Link's consumer presence across Stripe's checkout, with AI partners, and in Link's own app. This role is for individuals who excel in undefined problem spaces and with blank canvases.
Responsibilities
- Define the visual design direction for net-new Link products and surfaces across mobile and web.
- Lead design exploration on early-stage, pre-roadmap opportunities from concept to launch.
- Build new visual languages, component patterns, and design systems for new products.
- Partner with brand designers to extend and evolve Link's visual identity into new product categories.
- Shape early product strategy through design exploration and rapid prototyping.
- Represent Link's design vision in senior reviews and establish the creative bar for new product areas.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience with a strong visual and mobile design foundation.
- Portfolio showcasing 0-1 work and products taken from concept to launch where the visual language was defined.
- Demonstrated ability to create cohesive, distinctive visual systems for new products from scratch.
- Deep fluency across visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
- Experience working in high-ambiguity environments where the problem was framed before solving.
