About the Role

The Crisis Therapist coordinates services for children transitioning from institutional settings into family or community-based environments. The role focuses on fostering stability through authentic relationships and providing mental health services within homes, schools, and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical lead and provide crisis intervention and mental health services
• Provide counseling, therapy, and case management for client transitions
• Participate in treatment reviews, staff meetings, and necessary coordination meetings
• Coordinate with collateral contacts, caregivers, and family members
• Collaborate with the treatment team to determine follow-up service plans
• Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers
• Participate in the on-call system
• Complete progress notes, paperwork, and service tracking documentation
• Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor
• Maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage
• Comply with child abuse reporting and Medicaid/Medi-Cal requirements

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling
• Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
• At least 21 years of age
• TB test clearance and fingerprinting clearance
• Compliance with state/federal licensing or certification requirements
• Own vehicle with valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Insurability through company policy
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to work with a diverse population

• $2000 sign-on bonus
