About the Role
The Engineering Technician I provides hands-on technical support to engineering, technology, and systems engineering functions during the design, development, assembly, and testing phases of process equipment and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering staff during the assembly, test, and qualification of equipment, instrumentation, and tooling.
- Prepare assembly drawings, equipment layouts, specifications, and process documentation using sketches and standard office applications.
- Utilize test equipment and gauges to evaluate and document the performance of components and systems.
- Gather and organize data to support ROI cost analysis, process efficiency, and capability studies.
- Perform hands-on assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of components and systems based on drawings or instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members through active listening and professional interaction.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 2 years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience.
- Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Clear, organized, and professional communication skills.
- High degree of energy and drive.
