About the Role

Performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including various vehicle systems and components, under the supervision of a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Repairs refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Conducts engine repair and maintenance.
• Maintains suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
• Services heating and air conditioning systems.
• Performs air brake repair and maintenance.
• Provides road service to return equipment to operation safely and efficiently.
• Identifies malfunction sources using electronic tools.
• Completes applicable company training programs.
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience with or knowledge of maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work well as a team member and independently.
• Ability to work efficiently and maximize productivity.
