About the Role
This role focuses on creating data warehousing and reporting solutions using SAP tools, including SAP HANA, Business Warehouse (BW), and Data Services. The developer will build backend infrastructure, ensure data integrity and performance, and collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into professional reporting solutions. This is a term position anticipated through Fall 2028.
Responsibilities
- Create backend objects and develop complete ETL data flow models.
- Document solution directions, data flows, design, and technical specifications.
- Build reporting backend infrastructure and complex reports to enhance user experience.
- Develop extractions, transformation routines, and user exits using ABAP.
- Engage users to gather requirements and ensure report work products meet business needs.
- Analyze complex problems and implement innovative solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, tune, and optimize data load and report performance.
- Collaborate with Basis and Portal teams to monitor and optimize system performance.
- Create and execute test scripts to ensure report accuracy.
- Provide end-user support and assist with reporting navigation or data inquiries.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BI models (SAP BW and SAP BODS).
- Minimum of 5 full lifecycle projects.
- Experience with HANA Modelling.
- Experience with SAP Analytic Cloud report creation.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard development.
- Proficiency in DAX for creating columns and measures.
- Expertise in R and Python scripting.
- Solid understanding of database management, SQL, SQL Script, and stored procedures.
- Strong experience publishing and distributing BI reports.
- Hands-on experience in SAP authorization.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience with SAP Finance or Human Capital Management modules.
- Ability to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing, and emergencies.
- Ability to travel between office locations within NYC.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
