About the Role
This is a senior, hands-on role serving as an operational resource and subject matter expert for logistics and warehouse teams, supporting manufacturing operations. The role involves coordinating daily workflow, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, reinforcing procedures, and acting as a point of contact for operational questions, all while leading through expertise and example.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support daily shipping, receiving, and fulfillment activities.
- Ensure timely processing of customer orders and outbound shipments.
- Support carrier scheduling and shipment coordination.
- Monitor logistics workflows to ensure timely completion of operational tasks.
- Assist in resolving shipment discrepancies, documentation issues, and operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation.
- Support logistics and warehouse activities including order fulfillment, boxing, labeling, palletizing, staging, and shipment preparation.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles.
- Coordinate material movement and storage activities.
- Ensure warehouse work areas remain organized, safe, and operationally efficient.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to Logistics Coordinators and Warehouse Associates.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
- Help ensure orders scheduled to ship on a given day are actioned and shipped on time.
- Reinforce compliance with standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
- Serve as a resource for troubleshooting operational issues.
- Provide timely, service-oriented responses to all who reach out to logistics.
- Promptly escalate operational issues or delays that cannot be resolved to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Support compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Reinforce safe material handling, loading, unloading, and warehouse practices.
- Assist in maintaining operational quality standards.
- Identify and communicate safety concerns, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Support audits, inspections, and operational compliance initiatives as required.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Support implementation of operational best practices.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and promote operational excellence across logistics and warehouse functions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of logistics experience, including senior- or lead-level operational experience.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating operational activities in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, shipping software, or related logistics technologies.
- Ability to mentor and support team members.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Experience participating in process improvement initiatives.
- Prior experience working within a NetSuite ERP environment.
- Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing and warehouse environment throughout the full shift, including standing and being on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to move throughout the warehouse and production floor as required.
- Ability to lift and handle materials as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of warehouse work, such as loading and unloading trailers, containers, and delivery vehicles, and repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, and moving goods.
