About the Role

Sift Agents are AI agents designed to assist hardware engineers by investigating anomalies, reviewing data, and answering questions quickly. This role offers product ownership and autonomy, allowing you to interact directly with customers, define product direction, and manage the development lifecycle from MVP to post-launch iterations. You will focus on creating a seamless and efficient user experience for these AI agents within the browser, handling complex interactions like streaming responses, long-running tasks, and rendering large real-time datasets.

Responsibilities

Partner with product and talk directly to customers to translate real review workflows into agent capabilities, including generating dashboards, writing analysis scripts, and surfacing insights from telemetry.
Build and refine the frontend interfaces for Sift Agents, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
Design interaction patterns for agentic UX, such as streaming responses, managing long-running tasks, handling interruptions, and clearly displaying agent actions for user trust.
Render agent findings alongside supporting telemetry data, optimizing for performance with large datasets.
Leverage advanced browser capabilities like Web Workers and OPFS-backed caching, and step outside of React when necessary for performance.
Contribute to the component library to maintain consistency in agentic UI patterns across the product.
Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design for agent sessions.

Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Demonstrated ability to own a product area, including customer interaction, product definition, and shipping.
Experience building complex, high-performance web applications using technologies such as React, NextJS, or TypeScript.
A keen eye for detail, including micro-interactions, latency, FPS, and overall interface polish.
Curiosity about new AI products, including trying new agents, models, and features as they are released.
Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (asylee or refugee) in compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations.
