About the Role
Allied Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team. We are a proudly Austin-based firm with over 34 years of experience delivering top-tier technical and business professionals within Texas State Agencies.
Responsibilities
- Lead JAD sessions, elicit requirements, and document business processes and analytical findings.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries and joins.
- Perform data quality analysis.
- Translate business needs into actionable insights.
- Design dashboards, KPIs, and performance measures to support data-driven decision-making.
- Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
- Confer with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required for program development or modification.
- Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in IT, supporting the design, development, or delivery of technology solutions.
- 8 years of experience with Integrated Eligibility systems, including full SDLC involvement.
- 8 years of experience in business analysis and data analysis.
- 8 years of experience conducting JAD sessions, eliciting requirements, and documenting business processes and data analysis findings.
- 8 years of experience using SQL, including the ability to create and execute complex joins.
- 8 years of experience analyzing data quality.
- 8 years of experience designing dashboards, including measures and KPIs.
- 4 years of experience with the Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS).
