About the Role
As the Associate Manager, Marketing Operations for the Outdoor & Recreation business, you will lead the execution and continuous improvement of processes supporting the Outdoor & Recreation segment. You will be a key strategic partner and operations lead for Brand Marketing teams, managing complex workflows, owning vendor relationships, transforming process gaps, simplifying communications, and ensuring seamless delivery of brand initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end management of product sample logistics for brand campaigns, trade shows, internal reviews, sales meetings, social influencer requests, and special events.
- Place orders in Salesforce as requested.
- Lead communication with cross-functional teams on all sample requests.
- Own and maintain sample tracker document for organization, accuracy, tracking updates, and timely fulfillment.
- Evaluate and improve sample request processes to reduce order issues.
- Problem-solve issues with order logistics.
- Facilitate and lead meetings with cross-functional partners to drive alignment on milestones, opportunities, and deadlines.
- Provide project oversight and accountability tracking for Marketing Operations deliverables.
- Act as primary liaison with brand on executional elements of influencer and consumer review campaigns.
- Strategically monitor vendor performance with timely communication to drive successful product launches.
- Provide integral support for new item setup (PIM system), including formatting of product hierarchy.
- Lead the coordination of event marketing operations and asset readiness.
- Ideate booth design, booth setup/teardown, onsite booth activation, managing graphic designers, interacting with prospective vendors and/or hotels, assisting with cost estimates and budget, leading brainstorms, presentation facilitation assistance, managing video monitor displays, and other ad hoc requests.
- Serve as a backup for the Senior Manager and other Marketing Operations team members.
- Lead special projects and pilot initiatives aimed at process optimization and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or relevant field or proven work experience in a similar role.
- 2-4 years of experience in Marketing Operations or similar role.
- Understanding of retail, supply chain, marketing, event marketing, and/or promotions preferred.
- Positive “can do” attitude and proactive problem solver.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn new software quickly.
- Organization and prioritization ability; set deadlines and manage resources efficiently.
- Interest in growing AI business tools to streamline processes.
- Detail-oriented, excellent verbal, written, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Passion for the Outdoor & Recreation product portfolios at Newell Brands is a huge plus!
- 15% travel required.
- Ability to handle boxes over 50lbs sometimes needed.
