About the Role

Provides a secure and safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, personnel, and volunteers. Responsible for patrolling, monitoring premises, observing and reporting suspicious activities and unsafe conditions, access control, key control, and emergency response. Renders assistance and security-related services, including monitoring and restraining violent patients. Investigates and documents incidents and liaises with law enforcement.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • PSO - Proprietary Private Security Officer certification
  • 1-year recent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of security officer duty requirements with an emphasis on physical and emotional maturity
  • High degree of judgment and diplomacy necessary for a healthcare environment

  • Ability to write incident reports
  • Ability to read business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
