About the Role
The Specialty Human Services Division is seeking a Casualty Claim Professional to manage a large inventory of claims, evaluate liability, and negotiate settlements within a collaborative, relationship-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a large inventory of claims to evaluate compensability and liability.
- Plan and conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine damages.
- Determine and negotiate appropriate claim settlements and reserves within prescribed authority.
- Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed.
- Convey moderately complex information regarding coverage and settlements to stakeholders.
- Authorize payments within assigned authority limits.
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, including correspondence and reports.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling.
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads for timely resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
