About the Role

This is a new role within the Group Sustainability Team, critical for delivering LSEG’s sustainability governance objectives. The role focuses on sustainability regulation, due diligence, third-party risk management, and related compliance activities, requiring autonomy and strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Sustainability Regulation Workflow, including horizon scanning, applicability and impact assessment, maintaining a legal register, and monitoring compliance.
  • Lead the multi-year regulatory transformation program for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), including implementation and ongoing due diligence.
  • Lead sustainability due diligence on prospective acquisitions and coordinate the integration of acquired firms within LSEG’s sustainability management framework.
  • Serve as the Sustainability team lead for LSEG’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) process, assessing and managing third-party sustainability risks.
  • Respond to customer due diligence inquiries related to RFPs, routine inquiries, and Scope 3 apportionment.
  • Identify and ensure compliance with sustainability-related requirements in customer contracts.
  • Act as a key contact with Procurement for supplier due diligence, engagement, and Supplier Code of Conduct compliance.
  • Support investor engagement, including responding to shareholder inquiries and preparing for investor meetings.

Requirements

  • Robust understanding of sustainability regulation applicable to a FTSE100 UK headquartered firm operating internationally.
  • Practical experience of managing sustainability due diligence programs for a large, listed company.
  • Experience of working in a large publicly listed organisation; financial sector experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to form effective relationships with Legal & Compliance, Finance, Sales & Account Management, Procurement, Investor Relations, and Operations.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
