About the Role

Cboe Clear Europe (CCEU) is seeking a Data Engineer to manage and enhance data pipelines and reporting for a systemically important financial institution. This role is crucial for processing large volumes of financial data in near-realtime, supporting critical processes like margin calls and settlement instructions. The Data Engineering team utilizes a standard stack including Airflow, Python, and PySpark, with future expansion into technologies like Snowflake.

Responsibilities

Perform changes to realize business or regulatory requirements on historical price data, regulatory and customer reporting.
Ensure data quality in data flows by implementing monitoring and alerting.
Define and move towards the target data architecture.
Support business analysts, database experts, and operations colleagues with data engineering expertise.

Requirements

Seasoned data engineer experienced in building, validating, running, and troubleshooting data pipelines for business-critical systems.
Open-minded with creativity and a can-do attitude.
Good understanding and experience with AI-assisted software engineering.
Experience in creating lasting change in an organization regarding Data Governance and/or Data Quality Management.
Prior experience in a regulated environment, such as the financial industry.
Strong communication skills in English.
