About the Role

RSM is seeking an experienced cloud consulting leader to drive the growth of its Integrated Cloud (IC) practice. This role involves developing and expanding cloud solutions, building client relationships, and leading global teams to help clients achieve their desired outcomes through cloud advisory, implementation, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong working relationships with clients by understanding their businesses, challenges, and desired outcomes.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support the broader consulting practice.
  • Work across multiple client account teams in various industries.
  • Lead multiple team engagements simultaneously, including complex implementation and migration projects.
  • Lead a global team of cloud specialists.
  • Develop go-to-market solutions.
  • Collaborate with industry-leading cloud providers and technology vendors.
  • Champion the cloud practice throughout the Firm.
  • Confidently discuss cloud strategy, architecture, workload migration planning, and security practices with clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior technology leaders on cloud engineering.
  • Identify and build cloud-based solutions to drive growth in project-based and managed services.
  • Develop cloud strategy for clients, including value frameworks, multi-cloud strategies, and program offices.
  • Develop application rationalization approaches to create cloud migration roadmaps.
  • Design, architect, implement, and support enterprise cloud solutions.
  • Guide and mentor clients through the entire cloud transformation process.
  • Provide principal engineering support for client digital transformations.
  • Spearhead strategic cost optimization initiatives.
  • Execute solution delivery engagements for cloud environments.
  • Build eminence in the cloud industry through publishing and speaking.
  • Manage relationships with major cloud platform providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Recruit top cloud talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or graduate degree OR 10+ years of related work experience.
  • High proficiency with popular cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • High proficiency with tools and techniques for securing multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with private, public, and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external resources at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a team player; able to work in virtual teams and independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, and ability to speak about technology in the language of business.
  • Curiosity about business and technology; motivated with a desire to learn.
  • Strong foundation with on-premises infrastructure, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking protocols, storage architectures, and data center strategy and operations.
  • Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity patterns.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, ARM templates or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native, modern and legacy application portfolios and experience with migration strategies.
  • Understanding of standard application patterns and the use of containers (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, serverless and API management.
  • Experience with migration tooling and execution methodologies (7Rs framework).
  • Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, identity and access management, network security, data encryption and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of zero-trust architectures, security posture management and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines, configuration management, observability and DevSecOps practices.
  • Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
