About the Role
The Patient Food Services Supervisor is responsible for the efficient daily operation of the Main Kitchen, Ware Washing, Diet office, Tray Delivery, and kosher areas under the direction of the Director of Support Services.
Responsibilities
- Supervise main kitchen, dish room, diet office, tray delivery, and kosher staff
- Oversee tray assembly, rethermalization, and ware washing processes
- Manage staff scheduling, discipline, and overtime authorization
- Process diet changes using CBORD applications
- Prepare and distribute operational reports
- Maintain inventory levels according to established standards
- Manage daily food store orders and stock rotation
- Conduct quality improvement audits
- Facilitate monthly meetings and update job descriptions and cleaning procedures
- Complete employee performance appraisals
Requirements
- College diploma in food and nutrition management or related discipline from an accredited institution
- CSNM certification or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a related field
- HACCP certification or Safe Food Handlers Certificate
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
