About the Role

MDD, a Davies Company is seeking an experienced German-speaking Senior Accountant to join their growing German market team. This role involves forensic accounting services including business valuations, forensic investigations, and litigation support.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production, and other accounting data.
• Conduct physical inventory observation and price testing.
• Examine source documents pertinent to engagements.
• Check and proof reports and schedules.
• Conduct phone or in-person interviews to obtain information.
• Prepare preliminary drafts of report narratives and schedules.
• Analyze and reconcile claims to final calculations.
• Perform field review related tasks without direct supervision.
• Develop preliminary assignment programs.
• Conduct research.
• Perform data analysis and evaluation.
• Analyze invoices.
• Attend marketing events and functions with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar certification.
• Several years of accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting (consulting) environment.
• Working proficiency in German.
• Experience in forensic accounting is highly advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently while possessing team spirit and willingness to assist as needed.
• Comfortable working towards tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Experience or knowledge of how 'loss' impacts a business is beneficial.
• Ability to commit to the hiring process, including face-to-face interviews and online assessments.
