About the Role

The Project Designer, FF&E will collaborate with the team to produce high-quality specifications, drawings, and documentation. Reporting to the Senior Designer, this role involves solving design and technical challenges while maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and industry vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Independently design and develop smaller project elements using functional and innovative solutions.
  • Research products, materials, and suppliers to support project selections.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and consistent drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Apply building codes and regulations to project work.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of personal work and support reviews of project components.
  • Contribute content to the global FF&E newsletter.
  • Coordinate with vendors for pricing, lead times, and samples.
  • Assist with FF&E installation preparation, coordination, and styling.
  • Participate in FF&E Committee meetings and contribute to design dialogue.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with team members, vendors, and consultants.
  • Support the maintenance of an organized materials library.
  • Manage time effectively and track work using studio tools like Ajera.
  • Support procurement activities and ensure accurate documentation of FF&E selections.

Requirements

  • Interior Design Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of interior design experience.
  • Portfolio or work samples required with application.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and specification software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
