About the Role

DePaula Chevrolet is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Spray-In Bed Liner Technician to join our Central Adas team. In this role, you will prepare vehicle truck beds and other surfaces, apply spray-on protective coatings, and ensure a high-quality finish that meets company standards. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. No experience necessary; we will train the right person.

Responsibilities

Prepare truck beds and other vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as needed.
Mix and apply spray-in bed liner materials according to manufacturer specifications.
Operate spray equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, texture, and finish quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of spray equipment and tools.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate with team members and customers regarding project timelines and expectations.
Assist with other shop duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in automotive refinishing, body repair, painting, or spray coatings is preferred but not required.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE.

Skills

Experience with spray application equipment.
