About the Role
Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to assist in building and managing a structural group within the Texas market. This role is vital for expanding the company's presence in Texas, hiring and mentoring staff, and guiding growth. Responsibilities include business planning, strategy, goal setting, client relationship management, and directing the structures design practice. The engineer will also participate in the evaluation, inspection, rehabilitation, and design of infrastructure facilities for transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in building and managing a structural group within the Texas market.

Requirements
- A minimum of 16 years of experience in bridge design.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- P.E., registered in the state of Texas.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO Bridge LRFD Specifications.
- Strong knowledge of TXDOT specifications, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with a variety of bridge design software.
- Hands-on experience with MicroStation software.
- Track record of developing and growing engineering groups and establishing external and internal relationships.
- Excellent communication and business development skills.
- Able to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetings.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
- Willingness to continue to learn and grow technically and professionally within the company.
