About the Role
Prepare and cook high-quality meals for members across all clubhouse food service operations, supporting banquet, special event, and off-site catering. Follow standardized recipes, presentation standards, and instructions from culinary leadership. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service and communicate operational concerns to foster a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals for members across all clubhouse food service operations.
- Support banquet, special event, and off-site catering food preparation and service.
- Follow standardized recipes, food presentation standards, and instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
- Set up buffet stations and assist with event food service as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, storage spaces, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Adhere to daily cleaning schedules, opening/closing procedures, and food safety standards.
- Rotate and store food products properly to ensure freshness, quality, and inventory control.
- Maintain professional appearance, personal hygiene, and compliance with uniform requirements.
- Follow all applicable health, safety, and food handling regulations, including Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with members and accommodating special requests when possible.
- Communicate operational concerns and support a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment.
- Comply with all club policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen and food service operations.
Requirements
- Minimum one-year experience cooking in a restaurant-style setting.
- Line experience is necessary.
- Safe Food Handler certification required.
- Available to work on weekdays, evenings and weekends as required.
