Responsibilities

• Develop and champion a cohesive design strategy and vision across Google products, building consensus with key stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and research partners to translate user insights and business requirements into innovative design solutions.
• Create and maintain design specifications, style guides, and UX writing frameworks to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience.
• Lead design processes and guide fellow designers, providing feedback and direction to elevate the overall quality of design work.
• Utilize user research and data analytics to inform design decisions, validate concepts, and drive continuous product improvements.
• Defend the Google brand promise while exploring new design aesthetics and concepts to influence future product direction.

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator for visual, product, or UX/UI design.
• 6 years of experience in design craftsmanship for creating coherent and scalable product experiences.
• 6 years of experience applying product design techniques and principles for user-centered development.
• 6 years of experience applying human-computer interaction principles to influence the design of interactive systems.
• 6 years of experience in systems thinking to analyze components within technical or organizational systems.
