The Senior Product & Strategy Manager, Fee-Based Products will own the strategy, performance, and evolution of Money Mart's fee-based product portfolio, including cheque cashing, money transfers, and foreign exchange. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and strategic thinker with a background in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, or product management. The role has two primary mandates: maximizing the performance of the existing portfolio and defining the future of Money Mart's fee-based products in partnership with the Innovation team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for Money Mart's fee-based product portfolio, including cheque cashing, money transfers, and foreign exchange.
  • Balance short-term commercial performance with long-term strategic transformation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability through pricing optimization, product enhancements, customer journey improvements, operational efficiencies, and new distribution channels.
  • Partner closely with Marketing to improve customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value through optimized campaigns, offers, messaging, and customer experiences.
  • Analyze customer behaviour, product performance, market trends, and competitive activity to uncover actionable insights and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize new product features, strategic partnerships, vendor relationships, and fintech capabilities that strengthen the customer value proposition and accelerate growth.
  • Lead the development of business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations to support investment decisions and new product initiatives.
  • Define product requirements and collaborate with Technology, Digital, Operations, and Retail teams to deliver product enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Develop the long-term roadmap for modernizing the fee-based product portfolio, including opportunities to digitize traditionally retail-based services and create seamless omnichannel customer experiences.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, customer feedback, and financial results to identify opportunities for growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational improvements.
  • Present strategic recommendations, product performance updates, and investment proposals to senior leadership.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, customer trends, payments innovation, and the competitive landscape to ensure Money Mart remains competitive in a rapidly evolving financial services market.

Requirements

  • Highly analytical with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker who connects customer needs with commercial outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data to influence business decisions.
  • Curious, entrepreneurial, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Skilled at influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
