About the Role
The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures seeks an advanced language student to serve as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Italian. The role involves leading 50-minute drill sessions for first-year students to reinforce course material.
Responsibilities
- Lead 50-minute recitation sessions for groups of up to 13 students.
- Meet weekly with the course instructor to coordinate material and exercises.
- Organize and prepare all drill session exercises.
- Present drills and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Track student attendance and report records to the course instructor.
- Communicate concerns to the course instructor or the T.A. Program Director.
Requirements
- Must be an advanced language student.
- Submit a resume and cover letter.
- Successful completion of I-9 and employment eligibility requirements.
- Provide original, unexpired, authorized personal identification documents.
