About the Role

Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of facility equipment across multiple trades including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting, carpentry, and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory agency codes. Maintain facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for multiple systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform repairs to failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving maintenance duties for multiple systems and equipment.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge depth on multiple pieces of equipment and associated systems.
• Demonstrate basic electrical knowledge and meter usage.
• Demonstrate Fire Safety knowledge such as fire extinguisher designations and usage.
• Ensure work product meets the expected criteria.
• Ensure good rapport and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.
• Complete activities in a way that maximizes task effectiveness and minimizes customer impact.
• Ensure effective communication by maintaining good rapport and cooperative working relationships.
• Demonstrate ability to create and process purchase orders.
• Ensure inventory under individual craftsman control meets orderliness, labeling, and quantity standards.
• Consistently demonstrate positive, responsible leadership and guidance.

Requirements

• Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent
• Required 3 years' experience as a general maintenance service-related Technician
• Preferred Hospital experience
• Electrical and Plumbing experience highly desired
