About the Role
New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to fill the seasonal role of Food Explorer Specialist. Specialists are responsible for leading activities for children and teens at New York Edge program sites and are critical to the successful operation of the Day Camp program.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with and among students
- Teach or co-lead daily activities
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
- Instruct participants on the activities' principles, techniques, and safety procedures and show them how to use materials and equipment properly.
- Other Duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years old
