About the Role
As a passionate accountant, you will take responsibility for annual financial statements, digitize processes, and act as a technical expert in a leading software company. Join Softengine Holding GmbH to advance your career beyond basic bookkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and prepare them for audits.
- Confidently and independently manage the entire financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and bank accounting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tax advisors, auditors, and internal departments on complex accounting issues.
- Proactively optimize and digitize accounting processes and drive automation in accounting.
- Monitor liquidity, manage payment transactions, and complete VAT pre-registrations and statistical reports on time.
- Support special projects in the finance department and contribute expertise to the development of proprietary financial software solutions.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship and ideally further training as a certified accountant (IHK) or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive, in-depth professional experience in financial accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting according to HGB and current tax law.
- High IT affinity and enjoyment of actively using and improving modern ERP systems and digital workflows in accounting.
- Proficient and routine handling of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Independent, structured, and conscientious work ethic, even during peak closing periods.
- Communicative personality with a passion for sharing knowledge and collaborating on solutions.
