About the Role

The Assistant Manager Medical Practice provides leadership, management, and oversight to an assigned medical practice. This role works with clinicians and staff to optimize patient flow, reduce errors, improve service access, and enhance the patient experience. The Assistant Manager supports staff in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care, while managing key performance indicators related to growth, operations, patient access, quality, and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day operations and assists in developing short-term and long-term goals for practice growth.
  • Manages provider scheduling, hours of service, no-show rates, and cancellations to ensure patient access.
  • Monitors staffing levels, participates in hiring, staff orientation, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Proactively solves administrative issues and patient complaints.
  • Trains and educates staff on health system policies, compliance programs, and regulations.
  • Ensures efficient and accurate revenue cycle processes for positive patient experience and billing.
  • Conducts monthly meetings with staff to communicate changes and gather feedback.
  • Develops action plans for meeting or exceeding KPIs.
  • Collaborates with leadership to manage expenses and meet productivity budgets.
  • Manages the medical practice's physical plant, equipment, and inventory.
  • Oversees patient registration, check-in, point-of-service collections, and practice management system entries.
  • Provides guidance on scheduling new provider interviews, onboarding, and health plan credentialing.
  • Maintains and models organizational values.
  • Fulfills and adheres to all compliance responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, telephone, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite required).
  • Working knowledge of practice management and electronic medical record software systems.
  • Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Salary/Compensations

  • $29.65 - $55.55 Hourly
