About the Role
We are recruiting Lecturers and Senior Lecturers to join our Academic team at our London, Bloomsbury campus, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of legal education at ULaw. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance teaching and student support.
- Assess student work and progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and feedforward to students.
- Identify the need for developing module content, structure, and assessments.
- Propose improvements for module content, structure, and assessments.
- Contribute to the effective design and review of inclusive learning.
- Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
- Act as a module lecturer.
- Provide academic coaching to students.
- Sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyers (solicitors and barristers) with experience in Canadian law.
- Qualified lawyers (solicitors and barristers) with experience in criminal litigation.
- Practice experience as a criminal solicitor/barrister.
- Qualified lawyers (solicitors) with experience in equity, trusts, wills, land law.
- Practice experience as a solicitor in equity, trusts, wills, land law.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (for Lecturer positions).
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards (for Lecturer positions).
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE (for Lecturer positions).
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (for Senior Lecturer positions).
- Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) (for Senior Lecturer positions).
- PgCHE or equivalent (for Senior Lecturer positions).
- Must be able to prove the right to work in the UK.

Salary/Compensations
- £40,500–£42,500 for Lecturers
- £49,000–£54,000 for Senior Lecturers
- £4,300 London weighting allowance
