About the Role
Seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / Speech Teacher to provide pediatric speech and language services for Early Intervention (birth–3) or school-age students across home, school, and community settings on Long Island. The role focuses on functional, developmentally appropriate interventions that support communication across daily routines and academic environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for EI and school-age students
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services in home-based EI and school-based or community settings
- Address articulation, expressive and receptive language, pragmatics, fluency, voice, and functional communication skills
- Implement evidence-based, developmentally appropriate treatment approaches
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to support skill carryover
- Complete required documentation including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports
- Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as appropriate
- Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State and ASHA guidelines
