About the Role

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities. We are hiring a Senior Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered care and support a team with day-to-day operations and challenges as a team leader.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care tailored to individuals' Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Person Centered Plan (PCP).
  • Assist with training team members on programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and individual needs.
  • Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns immediately.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of program documentation and billable records.
  • Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and stocked.
  • Cooperate with staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of all state and agency required training.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
  • Successful completion of background checks (criminal, central registry, child abuse) and drug testing.
