About the Role

This field-based role supports the Pelvic Health groups in surgical coverage, follow-up, support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education within a territory. The candidate will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts. This role may also engage in basic market development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Represents Medtronic Pelvic Health during surgeries and implants by providing all necessary equipment and products.
  • Demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant, follow-up support, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintains current knowledge about assigned products and services as well as competitive products.
  • Proactively identifies needs and teaches a broader level of caregivers and account employees for new and existing accounts.
  • Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to products and therapies through various training formats.
  • Assists district manager and in-house training department in education/training of new employees.
  • Provides sales support during or following cases, including completing necessary documentation and executing invoices.
  • Places orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers, and other Medtronic employees.
  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects at the regional and/or national level.
  • Understands all applicable quality policy/system items.
  • Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.
  • Performs other related activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of patient care/clinical experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 years of patient care/clinical experience with an Associate’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of patient care/clinical experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Valid driver's license is essential.
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization for roles below Principal level.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Skills

  • Clinical skill and knowledge (e.g., ability to conduct a simple trial, implant and/or refill a pump).
  • Clinical experience with implantable Neuromodulation products and stim experience.
  • Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use.
  • Experience working with a medical device or pharmaceutical company.
  • Clinical experience in a specialty area: urology, surgical, RN, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic, operating room, or home health care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales and health care professionals.
  • Ability to coach others on use of products and clinical applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
