About the Role
We are seeking a People Operations Manager to ensure smooth behind-the-scenes operations and contribute to a positive employee experience. This is a varied, hands-on role perfect for someone curious, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, who takes ownership and embraces feedback for growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage employment contracts, addenda, and contractor agreements, ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processes by preparing and reviewing payroll information with external providers.
- Generate bonus letters, promotion letters, and maintain employee data in the HRIS.
- Support managers with day-to-day personnel matters and HR-related questions.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employee records.
- Own the onboarding experience, ensuring new hires have necessary resources for a successful start.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive company culture.
- Coordinate company events, both remote and in-person.
- Support salary and bonus review processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and implement practical solutions.
- Manage compliance documentation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a similar role.
- Experience with German employment administration and payroll processes.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- German language skills at CEFR B2 level or above.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through reliably.
- Proactive, self-starting approach and confidence to work independently.
- Willingness to learn, seek feedback, and continuously improve.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong judgment, great follow-through, and a genuine desire to learn.
