About the Role

The Urgent Care Fellowship program is a minimum 9-month continuing specialty rotation designed to provide enhanced clinical experience in Urgent Care Medicine. Fellows will receive one-on-one preceptorship with clinical faculty, hands-on patient care experience, and ongoing lectures guided by a provided didactic curriculum. The program's mission is to equip fellows with comprehensive cognitive and clinical education to become competent, proficient, and professional urgent care providers, positioning them for success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Urgent Care teams under the mentorship of experienced NP/PA’s to provide care for patients.
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries or exacerbations of chronic disease.
  • Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to outside specialists as required.
  • Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and the treatment of Worker’s Compensation injuries.
  • Perform pre-participation physicals for camps, sports and employment.
  • Maintain patient charts accurately and comprehensively.
  • Document patient information in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited approved PA or FNP program.
  • Physician Assistants must have active board certification with NCCPA.
  • Family Nurse Practitioners must have active board certification with AANP or ANCC.
  • Licensure as a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state where you are applying is required.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills.
  • Computer competence.
  • An active desire to learn.

  • $95,000 Annual
  • Signing Bonus of $10,000 offered for qualified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
