About the Role
The Accessories Collection Merchandising Manager shapes women's and men's leather goods and jewelleries collections, ensuring alignment with market trends, business objectives, and regional needs. This role manages the end-to-end collection lifecycle, from concept to sales analysis, in partnership with Design, Development, and global merchandising teams. The position also includes management of one merchandising assistant and one merchandising coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Own Accessories costing and pricing.
- Deliver pricing recommendations for new collections, aligned to margin and market positioning.
- Maintain Accessories pricing up to date for all categories.
- Work on Carry over repricing strategies each season.
- Help drive accessories gross margin target improvements YoY through strategic pricing reviews and adjustments.
- Participate in initial target cost identification, ensuring key price points are driven from sketch to sample.
- Manage pre-costing follow-up at each prototype stage.
- Contribute to pricing decisions for each collection.
- Manage cost changes post-negotiation and showroom presentation.
- Define with Merchandising Director the seasonal line plan and drive the collection calendar.
- Partner with Merchandise retail & Planning teams to optimize carryover and ensure a balanced product range.
- Contribute to merchandising meetings to establish an assortment that meets global and regional needs.
- Support creation of drop allocations and communicate updates to all regions and distribution channels.
- Cover the SKU counts and efficiency season to season.
- Deliver benchmarking reports with actionable insights embedded into line plans.
- Help identify and implement efficiency opportunities per season (carry-over, material consolidation, depth optimisation).
- Work with director to increase full-price sell-through YoY through tighter, performance-led assortments.
- Fully own 360° Special Projects & Collaborations for Accessories.
- Ensure milestones are set and followed for each Project & shared with all teams involved.
- Implement bi-weekly touch bases with different teams sharing clear requests for each project (Styles, SKU, Pricing Targets, Sample sets, packaging…)
- Work with Footwear team to create clear timeline for briefs from the clients.
- Lead sample launch for each showroom within defined budget parameters.
- Oversee timely receipt of first samples in London.
- Manage communications between Merchandising and regional showrooms.
- Oversee production fittings and approvals, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Monitor weekly production progress against planning milestones.
- Create and maintain the collection overview and internal selling documents.
- Manage official communication of cancellations and changes.
- Manage the set up and maintain the collection offer in the internal order system.
- Implement cancellation proposals and ensure clear communication across the business.
- Conduct detailed analysis of seasonal sell-in performance, identifying best sellers, materials, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity, including pricing, assortment, trends, and collection structure.
- Develop and support global training materials.
- Assist in creating impactful presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Elevate Materials & Training documents and information for wider Jimmy Choo teams.
- Work with training teams to create a standardized materials & shapes document by end of each season, to allow sales and ecom teams to deepen their knowledge.
- Define top volume drivers and key new materials, for each seasonal collection.
- Support knowledge of new shapes by informing how to wear/dimensions and valuable leather goods specific selling points.
Requirements
- Proven track record in a similar role.
- Avid interest and understanding of the world of Luxury Fashion.
- Strong commercial product merchandising skills.
