About the Role
The Wealth Group Executive is responsible for managing complex and critical professional disciplinary areas, leading a team of professionals, and applying in-depth knowledge of the business impact of technical contributions. This role requires strong commercial awareness and accountability for delivering a full range of services to businesses or geographic regions, with a focus on executing corporate strategy at a regional level and serving as an ambassador for the CPWM Investment business.
Responsibilities
- Ensure corporate strategy execution on a regional level.
- Serve as a visible ambassador to senior management for the growth and success of the CPWM Investment business.
- Provide top regional supervisory responsibilities, set vision and productivity goals, manage overall market profitability, sales, operations, and recruiting/salesforce growth.
- Adhere to all regulatory rules and guidelines.
- Oversee all Financial Advisors (FAs) in a defined region, with direct managerial oversight of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and potentially FAs.
- Effectively execute the implementation of the CPWM/Citigold team strategy.
- Be accountable for RSMs’ territories, including revenue plans and all business drivers and initiatives.
- Monitor referral volumes between internal CPWM FAs and partners like the retail bank, mortgage, Citigold RMs, Cards, and segmentation.
- Partner with CBNA counterparts and Division Managers to ensure cross-business line referrals and provide a transparent customer experience.
- Execute the growth of Citigold Wealth Centers, Citigold Hubs, and Citipriority sales through interaction with RSMs, Citigold Market Managers, and Area Directors within the Retail Bank.
- Act as a direct contact for CPWM Senior Management regarding market results and business updates.
- Provide strong leadership, conviction, and messaging to market direct reports to drive the new CPWM client-centric and segment strategy.
- Motivate, persuade, and lead diverse groups of Advisors, Relationship Managers, and partners to execute on delivering value to the Citi shareholder.
- Attract talent in relevant markets at both the producer and leadership levels.
- Communicate effectively with senior management representing CPWM and the franchise, including heads of HR, Legal, Risk, Compliance, ICG, Mortgage, Retail Bank, Commercial Bank, and Capital Markets.
- Represent Citi at industry conferences and lead discussions on Citi strategy and market presence.
- Utilize strategic thinking and critical decision-making to build consensus, drive results, and work with diverse stakeholders.
- Drive execution with urgency, attention to detail, and manage multiple complex matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Own collective results in sales, hiring, risk management, and productivity within the sales organization and the overall bank franchise.
- Own and manage a profitable P&L, focusing on client experience and driving improvements in NPS and KDS client metrics.
- Understand and drive client segmentation, future growth strategy, and client metrics.
- Contribute to organizational goals and embody firm leadership standards and values through collaboration.
- Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, considering firm reputation, safeguarding Citigroup, clients, and assets, and ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Exercise sound ethical judgment and escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
- Supervise the activity of others and create accountability for maintaining standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience
- Robust investment and insurance sales experience
- Prior investment/insurance sales management required
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and influence others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Required: US FINRA Registration: SIE; Series 7; Series 63 + Series 65 (or Series 66); Series 9 + Series 10 (or Series 24, Series 4, and Series 53)
- Must meet ALL US FINRA Registration requirements within 150 days of hire date.
- Required: Group 1 - Life and Variable Annuity License
- Must meet ALL requirements within 150 days of hire date.
