About the Role

The Media Planner is responsible for the tactical communications planning process, providing strategic recommendations to senior media teams and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of the Canadian media landscape and proficiency in media planning and research tools, actively contributing to account success and goal achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the media planning and buying process for assigned client accounts by translating client briefs into ideas and actions.
  • Develops strategic communications plans using media planning tools, based on execution strategy, rationale, and buy structure.
  • Collaborates with creative agencies on holistic brand management and marketing planning.
  • Recommends buy structures that identify optimal environments for target audiences, maximizing value and efficiency.
  • Assists in preparing reporting documentation that outlines strategy and rationale for campaign execution.
  • Ensures flawless implementation of media plans by working with Traffic Launch and Campaign Delivery teams.
  • Contributes to overall campaign strategy and identifies opportunities for performance improvement and optimization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of media planning and/or buying experience across All Channels (Video, Display, Social, Programmatic, Broadcast, Print & Out of Home).
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with media planning and buying tools.
  • Strong to advanced MS Office skills, including Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Aptitude for managing multiple deliverables and work streams.
  • Ability to organize ideas and present information logically and sequentially.
